Information Update for Parents

Dear Parents,
Hopefully your children are working on the new Edgenuity program as well as the assignment on Pearson.  This is just to let you know that I also updated the assignments on the MAP website in both Language Skills and Math Skills and some of you are now ready for the MASTERY test.  Since Edgenuity is focused only on Reading and Math, it would be a good idea to practice Language skills on the MAP website. I ill continue to update them during the vacation. Happy Practice!!!                                                                                                                                             Ms. Saville

VACATION HOMEWORK: On the Pearson website, please click on Assignments and then the arrow below till you find the following leveled readers:    I Have a DollarAt the Market,  A Healthful Meal, Which Way Is Better?  Trading This for That.  Students are to read ALL five books.  Then they should choose THREE of the books and answer all the questions at the end of each of these books.  I gave out three sheets of loose leaf  so each sheet should have a full heading and then the title of the book capitalized and underlined.  Each question should be answered in a complete sentence.  Work should be NEAT!
***Since students will be taking the spring session of the MAP test on line soon after their return from Easter vacation, it is very important that students practice MAP skills in Reading and Math.  Every student received their username and password and school code for the new Edgenuity program.  You can also use the MAP website and the Freckle website that you were using before.
Since I assigned everyone to take the short assessment on Edgenuity in Reading and Math yesterday, now they can continue to practice at their level over the vacation. All students' books have been packed up and stored to avoid loss.  Please make a copy of each program's username and password and leave the cards in your child's folder. Thank you very much for your cooperation!  Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.  Enjoy your vacation!
