Homework for 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Graders: 12/12 to 12/16

Dear Parents,
Unit 2 Tests in ALL subjects will be given this week.  Please check calendar for schedule.   Both Religion and ELA tests for 2nd, 3rd, & 4th will be given on Tuesday.  The Vocabulary test for the definitions given last week will be given this Friday.  Advent Confessions for 3rd and 4th graders will be on Wed, at 9:00 am.  All students should be in uniform.
Our Christmas show will be next Monday.  A reminder that girls in 2-1 should wear red or black skirt, green blouse, tights, and black shoes. Boys should wear black pants and shoes with a red shirt.
I would like two students to dress as Mary and Joseph. Please let me know if you have appropriate clothing  for these roles and if your child would like to do these parts.  I would also like about  five students to bring in an empty box (shoe box size) nicely gift wrapped.  Each student in Class 2-1 also needs to bring in a large sturdy plastic bags in order to store away books next week.
Students in third and fourth grades will be reviewing how to address envelopes this week and writing to classmates.  Each student will need to bring in 2 or 3 Christmas cards with envelopes no later than this Wed.  Also students from both classes will need to bring in an index card with their correct home address including zip code and apt. #. THIS IS HOMEWORK WHICH IS DUE WED.
Finally, starting in January,  all four teachers will be posting the same vocabulary definitions for the week and there will be only ten per week!  All students MUST copy these words with definitions in their Vocabulary notebooks every Monday for HOMEWORK.  This assignment will be checked every Tuesday and a zero will need to be entered for homework if work is not done.  If a student does not have access to the internet, he/she may stay from 3:00 to 3:30 in the after school  on Mondays only to copy the weekly definition from the blog.
Thank you for your cooperation in these matters.
                                                                                                            Ms. Saville
