Thank you for your cooperation in having your children work on MAP skills during the Easter break. I have noted those who have completed assignments in each subject, and for those of you who did, I have kept reassigning either more practice resources or mastery tests as indicated. Please keep checking!!
Welcome back! Please make sure all students have homework assignment (three sheets of loose leaf each with a full heading and the title of each book with all questions answered). There will be TWO quizzes this week: a Math quiz on Wed. on Module 5 (Lesson 1 to 6) and a Reading quiz on The Winner's Choice on Friday.

Math- Cut out the bottom tan gram in workbook p. 23. Cut out the pieces along the solid lines neatly and place the pieces in an envelope. Label the envelope Homework Tan gram. Don't lose it!!! Use the pieces to do workbook pp 21 and 22.

Information Update for Parents
Dear Parents,
Hopefully your children are working on the new Edgenuity program as well as the assignment on Pearson. This is just to let you know that I also updated the assignments on the MAP website in both Language Skills and Math Skills and some of you are now ready for the MASTERY test. Since Edgenuity is focused only on Reading and Math, it would be a good idea to practice Language skills on the MAP website. I ill continue to update them during the vacation. Happy Practice!!! Homework for April 8 to 12
Dear Parents,
There will be two quizzes this week. The Grammar Quiz has been rescheduled for Wed. and the Religion Quiz will be on both Chapter 11 and 12 and it will be given on Thurs. All students should bring in filled up Lenten boxes this week.so they can be sent to the office. Report cards will be distributed on Thursday afternoon. There will be 12:00 dismissal on Friday and the Parent-Teacher conferences will be held in the auditorium fro 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Please remember to send in a strong fabric bag to pack up books. Easter Vacation homework will be posted on Friday.

***On Thursday afternoon reports cards will be given out..On Friday children should dress up. On Friday morning all classes will attend a Passion Play that the older students are putting on. HONORS will be given out after this play. I will let your children know who is getting honors if any parent wishes to attend.

Math- Do pp. 15 and 17. Cut out ONLY the bottom section of p. 15 and use the shapes as puzzle pieces. The trace or draw how they went together. Leave the top of p. 15 in the workbook.
****There is a new program called Edgenuity to help students prepare for the next MAP test to be given in the spring. Look for the card in your child's folder with the website: www.thelearningodyssey.com. Please log on with the username and password listed on the card. You will see Pathblazer for Reading and Pathblazer for Math. Click on each and have your child do the short assessment in BOTH subjects. Based on these assessments it should take your child on a path of learning based on his/her ability. Please try it out tonight and let me know tomorrow if you encounter any problems.
***Tomorrow Passion Play in the morning is followed by Honors Assembly. Dismissal is at 12:00. Parent-Teacher Conferences are from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. Please check the blog tomorrow for Easter vacation homework. It will all be on-line work in case you are going away!

VACATION HOMEWORK: On the Pearson website, please click on Assignments and then the arrow below till you find the following leveled readers: I Have a Dollar, At the Market, A Healthful Meal, Which Way Is Better? Trading This for That. Students are to read ALL five books. Then they should choose THREE of the books and answer all the questions at the end of each of these books. I gave out three sheets of loose leaf so each sheet should have a full heading and then the title of the book capitalized and underlined. Each question should be answered in a complete sentence. Work should be NEAT!
***Since students will be taking the spring session of the MAP test on line soon after their return from Easter vacation, it is very important that students practice MAP skills in Reading and Math. Every student received their username and password and school code for the new Edgenuity program. You can also use the MAP website and the Freckle website that you were using before.
Since I assigned everyone to take the short assessment on Edgenuity in Reading and Math yesterday, now they can continue to practice at their level over the vacation. All students' books have been packed up and stored to avoid loss. Please make a copy of each program's username and password and leave the cards in your child's folder. Thank you very much for your cooperation! Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. Enjoy your vacation!

5. During Lent, we pray Stations of the Cross on Fridays to remember Jesus' suffering and death.
6. Jesus died on Good Friday and rose on Easter Sunday.
7. The Easter Triduum lasts from Holy Thursday to Easter Sunday.
8. On Easter we celebrate that Jesus rose or came back to life.

There are four categories students can work on: Math, Reading, Language, and Vocabulary. Each of these subjects has a number listed showing how many assignments are there for the child to work on. Every student had a note placed in their folder showing their username and password. The easiest way is to goggle: student map login. Click on Students Log in Here. Enter the username and password and you are ready to go. I will be adding in more assignments on Friday so your child can practice as much as possible. I showed all students today how to get in and we practiced one assignment together.

Enter the username and password and you are ready to go. I will be adding in more assignments on Friday so your child can practice as much as possible. I showed all students today how to get in and we practiced one assignment together.
