Dear Parents,
This week all classes will be working on the rough draft of the writing piece which each student will do on looseleaf. When corrected and returned, they must be rewritten in script and put on construction paper to be added to their Religion poster. ALL RELIGION PROJECTS ARE DUE THIS FRIDAY, MARCH 18TH. Pictures should be taped to the Poster boards so they can be rearranged if necessary. All classes will be taking a Grammar Test this Wed. On Thursday, we will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day. All students can come dressed in green or wear greeh items.
The vocabulary definitions for this week are in Religion and listed below:
*Palm Sunday - holy day before the Triduum in which we celebrate Jesus' entrance to Jerusalem when he was welcomed by the people waving palms
*Stations of the Cross - the fourteen places that show pictures or images of when Jesus suffered and died where Christians stop and pray
*Holy Thursday - holy day in which we remember Jesus' Last Supper with his apostles
*Good Friday - holy day in which we remember the death of Jesus on the cross
*Holy Saturday - holy day in which we remember when Jesus was laid in the tomb

3/15 LA - Grammar test Wed. Study LA textbook pp. 446 to 457.
3/17 Rel - All projects are due Fri. on the display board. Rewritten writing piece in script should be put on construction paper and added to the board. Study pp. 232 to 240 and p.329 (Stations) for test next Wed.
THIRD GRADE

SECOND GRADE
***All students need to bring in at least one NEW notebook and NEW pencils for the poor this week! A one dollar donation is also being collected for the victims in Japan.
