Dear Parents,
PLEASE READ  BELOW FOR UPDATE ON BLOG!
DISMISSAL ON THURSDAY HAS BEEN CHANGED TO 3:00 BECAUSE OUR MEETING WAS CANCELLED.  ALSO HOMEWORK FOR SECOND GRADE ONLY HAS BEEN CHANGED.  THE SECOND GRADE CLASS WILL BE FOLLOWING THE SUPERKIDS PROGRAM FOR ELA STARTING TOMORROW. THIS IS THE PROGRAM THAT MS. BAGLEY IS CURRENTLY USING FOR READING WHICH IS NOW BEING EXTENDED.
THE CHILDREN WILL STILL BE WORKING ON LISTENING, DOING RESEARCH,  GIVING SPEECHES,  WRITING PARAGRAPHS, LEARNING PARTS OF SPEECH, AND SPELLING BUT ACCORDING TO THE SUPER KIDS CURRICULUM. THE ELA WORKBOOK WILL STILL BE USED BUT MOSTLY FOR HOMEWORK PRACTICE AND REVIEW.  PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR CHANGE IN SECOND GRADE HOMEWORK THIS WEEK.
I hope you are safe from the effects of the hurricane and have not suffered any damage.  As is stated on the school blog, this is just a reminder that Tuesday is Class Picture Day and all students need to be in FULL school uniform (including tie) for the photograph.   On Friday we will complete our project on St. Francis of Assisi. I will also finish giving notes on Safe Environment in Religion so the test can be given by the end of the week.
There is no school next Mon., Nov. 12 and on Tues. there will be early dismissal so Parent-Teacher Conferences can be held that afternoon.  We are beginning UNIT 2 this week in ELA this week.  The homework below reflects the topics  that we will be covering in each class.  It is best to wait till work is explained in class before homework is done.
