Homework for May 7 to 11 for Class 1-2

Dear Parents
          This Thursday both first grades will have their class Mass together at 9:00.  This will be followed by the Honor Assembly for those few receiving first, second, or effort certificates.  There will be a Math quiz on Thursday  based on lessons 1 to 6 only.

Homework for May  7  
Math - Do pp. 15 and 17.  Cut out the shapes below the dotted line WITHOUT tearing out the rest of the page.
Phonics - Do pp. 215 and 216.  Follow directions.

Homework for May 8
Math-  Do  pp. 21 and 22.  Cut out only bottom tangram on p. 23. DO NOT TEAR OUT PAGE. Leave top tangram in the book.  Cut this tangram neatly and place the seven pieces into the large envelope you were given in class. You should now have two sets of tangram pieces -one given in class and the one you just cut out!!!
Phonics - Do pp. 217 and 218. Follow directions!
***Those who missed Handwriting must do pp. 82, 83, 84, 85 --letters Xx and Yy.

Homework for May 9
Math - Quiz tomorrow on Module 5 lessons 1 to 6.  Study well all corrected exit tickets 1 to 6.
Phonics- Do pp. 219 and 220.  YES- write the sentence on p. 219.
***Work on whatever has been assigned to you on MAP -some are resources to help you -some have a mastery test-some are still doing missions on the skills locator!  A REMINDER TESTING ON MAP SKILLS IN READING AND MATH STARTS NEXT WEEK FOR ALL GRADES!!!

Homework for May 10
*No Math Homework tonight!
Phonics - Read pp. 221 and 222. Do pp. 223 and 224. Follow directions!
Religion- In Reflections workbook answer pp. 52 and 53 on Baptism.  Write 3 or 4 sentences.
*****Dress up tomorrow for your singing performance at 10:00
*****CONTINUE TO WORK ON MAP SKILLS AS  SHOW ABOVE!

Homework for May 11
Math -  Do pp. 29 and 30. FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS.
Phonics -  Do  pp. 225 and 226. Write THREE sentences on p. 226. Follow directions!
** Those who missed Handwriting should do  pp. 86-87: Zz
*****WORK ON MAP SKILLS--ALL AREAS ESPECIALLY READING AND MATH.
Since I can only assign a certain number of tasks at a time on MAP, I will be monitoring each student's work each day so that as you complete one assignment, I will assign another so you can continue practicing especially in areas which indicate "needs work."  So---please keep checking for the next available assignment and try your best!!!

On Tuesday next week ALL students MUST be in full school uniform.
