Dear Parents,
This week students of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th will be taking the Social Studies Midterm Exam on
Wed., Jan 14. Please refer to last week's review notes in Social Studies posted for each grade.
Be sure to look up and study well all definitions. To prepare for the DBQ section of the exam,
please check the list below to see what pages in the text to review for your class:
Second grade - pp. 98 to 103 Third grade - pp. 46-47 and p. 61 (summary)
Fourth grade - pp. 116-117 and pp. 308-309
On Fri., Jan. 16, I will be giving a Handwriting Exam to all grades. For 2nd and 3rd it
will be in print. Children will be tested on correct letter formation, neatness, and correct
spacing between words. For 4th, it will be in script and the test will be focusing on correct
joining of letters, especially consonant + vowel, consonant +r, consonant + l: pa, bl, cr.
Map of the Month (on the explorers) is due completed on Fri., Jan. 16 for 4th graders.
Dismissal is at 2:30 this Friday.
We are closed on Mon., Jan. 19. Starting next week after exams are over, I will
resume regular class lessons and daily homework assignments for all classes. Thank you,
