Dear Parents,
Due to the snow day last Wednesday, tests have been rescheduled for this week for all classes. And since fourth grade was split up on Thursday as well, classwork also needs to be rescheduled.
Below are the Social Studies vocabulary words for week:
legislative - branch of the government that makes the laws. Congress works for this branch.
judicial - branch of the government that makes sure the laws are fair. It includes the Supreme Court
executive - branch of the government that makes sure the laws are obeyed. President works for this branch.
Declaration of Independence - document explaining why the 13 colonies should be free of English rule
Constitution - document that outlines the most important laws that govern our country
SECOND GRADE HOMEWORK:
2/16 SS - On looseleaf write heading. Answer three questions on p. 165 in complete sentences.
Rel. - Study all notes and Chapters 11 and 12 on Reconciliation for test Wed.
2/17 SS - On looseleaf write heading. Answer all questions on p. 167.
Rel . - Answer Workbook p. 28.
2/18 Voc. - Study all 15 definitions for this week for test on Friday.

THIRD GRADE HOMEWORK:
2/16 SS - Study all notes on Chapter 7 including essay and pp. 182-183 for test Wed.
Rel. - Study all notes in Religion notebook for test on Wed.
2/17 SS - In notebook write Workbook p. 35. Copy each question and entire answer.
Rel. - Answer Workbook p. 34.
2/18 SS - Create a foldable on topic chosen in class. Make sure it is neat, clear, and complete.
