Dear Parents,
This week many but not all will be taking the NYSESLAT Speaking test Tues. to Thurs. mornings. On Friday all classes will be preparing for the spring show with Ms. Alma and dismissal will be at 12:00 noon.
The vocabulary for this week is in Religion:
covenant - special agreement between God and his people
Resurrection - Jesus' being raised from the dead
Ascension - Jesus' returning to his Father in heaven
Pentecost - day the Holy Spirit came upon the apostles in form of a flame
Beatitude - teachings of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount that describe the way to live as his disciples
This week Social Studies homework will be given on Tues. and Religion on Thurs. Due to early dismissal on Fri. Social Studies tests must be given on Wed.
SECOND GRADE HOMEWORK:
4/20 SS - Test Wed. on Chapter 8. Review text pp. 192 to 211 and notes in SS notebook.
4/22 Rel - Review all Religion definitions in notebook for test next Wed. Answer Workbook p. 26.
Voc. - Review all 15 vocabulary defintions for test this Fri.
THIRD GRADE HOMEWORK:
4/20 SS - Test Wed. on Chapter 9. Review ALL notes on Chapter 9 in SS notebook.
In notebook write Workbook p. 51. Write each word with its definition.
4/22 Rel - Review all Religion definitions in notebook and be able to write about any of the parables listed in notebook. Study text pp. 296 to 299. Answer Workbook p. 13.
FOURTH GRADE HOMEWORK:
4/20 SS - Test Wed. on Chapter 9. Review ALL notes on Chapter 9 in SS notebook.
In notebook write Workbook p. 46. Make three lists as explained in class.
4/22 Rel - Review all Religion definitions in notebook and be able to write out each Beatitude and explain what each means as shown in notebook. Answer Workbook p. 11.
