Dear Parents,
This week the time schedule for classes will need to be adjusted due to ELA State testing for the fourth grade. On Thursday April 29, second and third grade students that are in the sacramental program will be in church at 1:00 for practice and the to celebrate Reconciliation at 1:30. A letter was sent home last week by the principal about this.
This week I will be working on DBQ essays in Social Studies and Religion foldables as part of their project grade both of which are worth 30% of their grade. MAPS OF THE MONTH FOR FOURTH GRADERS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN THIS THURS., APRIL 29!
Below are the vocabulary definitions for this week:
1.ration - to use less of something
2. neutral - not taking sides
3. tenement - a poorly built apartment building
4. labor union - group of workers who push for better working conditions
5. amendment - a change to the constitution
SECOND GRADE HOMEWORK:
4/27 Rel. - Test on Wed. on all definitions listed in Religion notebook. Review also all ten commandments, what happens in sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist; identifying parts of the Mass and correct Mass responses.
4/29 SS - Study all definitions on pp. 222 through 227 in text book.
4/29 Voc. - Study all fifteen definitions in Vocabulary notebook for test Friday.
THIRD GRADE HOMEWORK:
4/27 Rel. - Test on Wed. on all definitions listed in Religion notebook. Review also all ten
commandments, the seven sacraments, what happens in each of the parables listed in notebook.
4/29 SS - In notebook write Workbook p. 54. Write out all three parts in script.
FOURTH GRADE HOMEWORK:
4/27 Rel. - Test on Wed. on all definitions listed in Religion notebook. Review also the ten commandments, Jesus' Two Great Commandments (Luke 10:27), Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy, the Sanctus prayer, the Beatitudes, the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary, and the steps for making a good moral choice.
4/29 SS - In notebook write Workbook p. 49. Answer each in a sentence in script.
