Dear Parents,
On Friday, Oct. 29th we will be celebrating Halloween at OLQM! Children may wear their costumes to school - makeup, masks, and props are allowed but no changing clothes in school. Each child should bring their own small containers of juice and two bags of treats (each with about 25 pieces) to share. One is to distribute with the Pre K and K during their parade and the other one to share with their own class. We will discuss choices in class so we can have a nice assortment. Each child should also bring their trick or treat bag or pumpkin container. I will be ordering pizza also so any child who wants a slice should bring in one dollarno later than Wed. Classes will go on as usual but with some Halloween spice added!
Test folders will be sent home this week. Only my tests that I have given should be kept or returned in this folder. Each test must be signed and folders returned by this Wednesday.
The vocabulary words for this week are in Religion:
*grace - gift of God's life in us
*sin - a wrong thought, word, or action that we frely choose to commit
* free will - God's gift that allows us to make choices
*examination of conscience - act of deciding if the choices we made show love for God, ourselves, and others
*Baptism - sacrament in which we are freed from sin and given God's grace. In Baptism we first become members of the Church.
