Homework for 2nd, 3rd, 4th Grades for 11/29-12/3

Dear Parents,
Last week I sent test folders home and asked that they be sent back last Wed. after tests were signed. It is very important that all tests be kept on file so please make sure that all folders are returned this week. If a test folder is not returned, no more tests can be sent home with your child because tests cannot continue to be lost or misplaced.
This Thursday I am required to attend a workshop once again and therefore will not be in until the afternoon. Work will be assigned to all classes. Dismissal this Friday will be at 12:00.

The vocabulary definitions for this week are in Language Arts:

* subject complement - noun or pronoun that renames the subject or adjective that describes the subject eg. The man is a hero. His actions were brave.

* direct object - noun or pronoun that receives the action of the verb eg. Mom made a salad.
I helped her.

* antonym - word that has the opposiite meaning eg. poor / rich

* homograph - word that has the same spelling but different meaning eg. fair (market) / fair (beautiful)
