Homework for 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Grades 9/19 to 9/23
Dear Parents,
Last week Thursday's Religion homework for both second grades had to be changed. Due to Internet failure at school, students were not able to be assigned a saint to research from the archive list on the web site. Hopefully it will be able to be done this week! Please be aware of upcoming tests this week in both Religion and ELA and again Vocabulary.
The vocabulary words this week are in ELA and are listed below for all classes:
*sentence - a group of words that expresses a complete thought. Every sentence has a subject and predicate.
*phrase - an incomplete sentence. It is also called a sentence fragment.
*subject - part that tells who or what the sentence is about: eg. The hungry boy
*predicate - part that tells what the subject is or does: eg. ate his dinner or is my brother
Please check below your child's grade for this week's homework.
FOURTH GRADE
*Please make ten copies of the blank Vocabulary sheet distributed today and keep them in ELA folder.
Rel. 9/20 - Religion test Wed. Study Chapter 1 and notes in Religion notebook.
ELA 9/22 - ELA test on Fri. Study textbook pp. 314 to 323. In ELA notebook answer Workbook p. 2.
THIRD GRADE
*Please make ten copies of the blank Vocabulary sheet distributed today and keep them in ELA folder.
Rel. 9/20 - Religion test Wed. Study Chapter 1 and notes in Religion notebook.
ELA 9/22 - ELA test on Fri. Study textbook pp. 314 to 317 and pp. 320 to 329. In ELA notebook answer Workbook p. 2.
SECOND GRADE
*Please make ten copies of the blank Vocabulary sheet distributed today and keep them in Rel. folder.

Rel. 9/22 -Type in name of your chosen saint ( from Lives of the Saints Archive http://www.sadlierreligion.com/ ) on http://www.googleimages.com/ . Search for color pictures of your saint and ALL associated with that saint including statues, paintings, stained glass images, prayers or litanies, churches or schools with saint's name. Bring in plastic bag by Fri. DO NOT PASTE ON BOARD! Study about your saint on web site above.
Voc. 9/22 - Study this week's 16 vocabulary definitions for test on Friday.
