Notices for Week of Jan. 25 to 29

 Dear Parents,

            This Monday it is my turn to meet with Mr. Woods about report cards from 10:15 to 11:00. On Wed. I will be having my weekly meeting with the coach from 9:15 to 10:00 so I will not be available during those periods.  I will leave work for the class to do.  This week there will be a Social Studies Quiz on Tues., a Vocabulary Quiz on Going to School on Wed., and a Religion Quiz on Chapter 15 on Thurs. 

         Report cardss will be distributed in class or mailed out on Feb. 4th.  On Fri., Feb. 5 dismissal will be at 12:00 so that Parent Teacher Conferences can be held via zoom from 1:00 to 6:00 pm.  I will be setting up a time schedule for all parents later this week.  

          So what's up this week?  National Chocolate Day is on Wed. and National Corn Chip Day is on Fri.  Please be sure to check google classroom for daily homework assignments and study guides. Thanks.

 Dear Parents,

         This is just a reminder that dismissal this Monday is at 12:00. Please remember also that ALL students are doing the practice NWEA MAP test on Monday at 8:30.  A parent for each remote learner MUST bre present at this time to help them log on correctly.  For any other information please refer to the daily homework assignment on google classroom.                          Thank you.

 Dear Parents,  

          Welcome back!  I hope you all had a safe and relaxing break.  I want to thank you very much for your Christmas gifts.  I appreciate your thoughtfulness so very much.  I will send thank you cards home with the children. This week we are having Mass on Wed. for the feast of the Epiphany which marks the end of the Christmas season.  On Wed. also I will be meeting with the coach from 10:45 to 11:30 to prepare students for MAP testing this month.  The only test for this week will be a Writng Assessment on opinion writing based on characters from the last two books we read.  More details will be posted on google classroom for homework. Next week on Mon., Jan. 11 we will have early 12:00 dismissal.

 Dear Parents,

          Just a reminder that there will be a Math quiz on Tues., Religion quiz on Wed., and Reading Quiz  on Thurs.  On Wed. at 10:00 am  we will have Lesson and Carols via zoom in the classrooms in the morning and on Friday a party in the afternoon. On Thurs children should dress in any combinations of red, white, and/or green.  Dismissal on Friday is at 2:00.  We return to school on Jan, 4th. There will be no homework but students are welcome to recommended to work on the Edgenuity program during the vacation. In class students will have a pizza party and may bring in some individually wrapped Christmas candy (eg; individually wrapped chocolates) to share with the class. Please NO cupcakes, doughnuts, or cookies.  Students may bring in chips to share only if they are in individually wrapped snack size bags.  Each student must bring in their own juice containers.

 Dear Parents,                                                                                                                                                        Please remember that we have 12:00 dismissal on Monday. Monday is the feast day of St. Nicholas so candy canes will be distributed.  On Monday I will also start all students on Edgenuity and show the class how to log on with username and password. The program is actually called the Learning Odyssey. On Tuesday we will have Mass at 9:00 to celebrate the feast of the Immaculate Conception.  There will be a Social Studies quiz on Wednesday and Science quiz on Friday.

Dear Parents,
