Homework for 2nd, 3rd, & 4th for 5/14 to 5/18

Dear Parents,
         This week ONLY students who are celebrating First Reconciliation on May 15th at 11:00 should wear dress up clothes and are allowed to leave after the ceremony for lunch with their parents.  For Ascension Thursday Mass at 9:00 all students should be in school uniform.  Dismissal this Friday is at 12:00. Once again all students should review  the same set of weekly vocabulary definitions till the test is given. There will be some changes in schedule again due to class observations, church services, and early dismissal this week.
        Please see below your child's grade for this week's homework.

 FOURTH GRADE
ELA 5/15 Click on following link and practice archery game in order to review use of prefixes &; suffixes and to prepare for upcoming lesson:
  http://teacher.scholastic.com/activities/athens_games/game.htm#  Then on looseleaf write a heading. Look up amd write TWO words that begin with EACH of these prefixes: poly- , homo-, micro-, tele-, sym(n). Also look up and write TWO words that end with EACH of these suffixes: -ic, -able, -itis, -cide, -ology. Know their meanings.

Review also writing the steps for making a moral choice (llisted in notes), the new Nicene Creed (on prayer card), Jesus' Great Commandments, and Jesus' New Commandment.MEMORIZE EXACT WORDS OF EACH. Be prepared for quiz.  Answer Rel. Workbook p. 49.

THIRD GRADE
ELA 5/15 In ELA notebook write ELA Workbook, page#, and date for each page. Answer Workbook p. 33 (noun vs. verb) and p. 87 (noun vs. adjective). Do on separate notebook pages.

SECOND GRADE
REL 5/15 On looseleaf write a heading, a title, and a six sentence paragraph on your First Reconciliation experience.

REL. 5/17 In Religion Workbook answer pp. 58-59. Write a prayer that begins Dear Mary,
and follow it with a 3 or 4 sentence prayer  and your name.
