Notices for Week of Feb. 1 to 5

 Dear Parents,

UPDATE, as you probably already know, we have another snow day, so school resumes on Wed. Hope you are enjoying another  BEAUTIFUL snowy day!  This week we are celebrating a short but important Catholic School Week. Students will be composing sentences and creating illustrations on the themes of faith, excellence, and service.  We will also be working on our February Values Theme based on how we as a school community have provided services for those in need.  We wil be starting Module 4 in Math on FRIDAY . Using discoveryeducation we will begin learning about community laws and how students can practice citizenship. Students will also be studying facts about the life of Martin Luther King Jr. in honor of Black History Month.  The Social Studies quiz on comparing Washington and Lincoln is rescheduled for next week in honor of President's Day on Feb. 15.

Due to the TWO snow days, I made another small revision to our weekly test schedule.   The Reading quiz on Going to School will be on Wed. The Math quiz on measuring  and Writing test on Going to School will be on Thurs. Our Grammar quiz on contractions will be on Friday.

Although the feast of St. Blaise is on  Feb. 3, we will NOT be  having the blessing of the throats service this year.  Report cards for remote learners are scheduled to be sent out on Thurs. and will be distributed to in-class learners on Friday.  A reminder that dismissal on Friday is at 12:00 for students so that Parent-Teacher Conferences can begin at 1:00.  The  zoom schedule for parents  will be set up today and the invitation will be sent later this week. Please refer to googleclassroom for your assigned time and for the invitation as well.

For any additional updates,  please keep listening  for IRIS calls or rechecking my blog.                                                                                                                                          Thank you
