Social Studies

3/23 Social Studies Test (Chapter 8)

Practice for Spring show

Homework: Dismissal is at 11:30 today! All students must be back in class dressed and ready for our Spring show by 4:15 p.m. The show will end about 6:00 p.m. Parents must pick
up their children at that time in the classroom.

3/24 GYM
Homework: On a blank white students must draw/color pictures of our country's symbols: the Flag, the Bald Eagle, the Great Seal, the Liberty Bell, the Statue of Liberty, and Uncle Sam. Each one should be labeled neatly and correctly. This work is due on Thursday.

3/25 Aim: To introduce DBQ on United States' symbols and monuments
Lesson: Students answer questions on 3 documents.
Homework: Complete work begun yesterday.

3/26 Aim: To make an outline for an essay based on the documents
Lesson: Class create two sentences based on information gathered from each document.
Students also copy notes on this information.
Homework: Study Social Studies notes.

3/27 Aim: To edit draft to write create essay
Lesson: Students create their essay.

Religion

3/23 No class due to 11:30 dismissal for Spring show.

3/24 Aim: To review the sacraments
Lesson: Students take notes from Guidelines (pp.16-17). Explain.
Homework: Study notes on the Presence of Jesus. Be sure to be able to write five different
ways Jesus is present for us and be able to write about one Bible story that demonstrates this
for test on Wednesday.

3/25 Religion Test (Presence of Jesus)
Homework: Study notes on sacraments.

3/26 Aim: To present Scripture readings related to the sacraments
Lesson: Read and explain Scripture reading associated with each sacrament:
Baptism Act of Apostles 2:38; Confirmation Ephesians 3:16; Eucharist 1 Corinthians 11:23-25

3/27 No class due to 2:30 dismissal
