Dear Parents,
Please note that dismissal this Friday is at 12:00. There will not be any new vocabulary words this week! Children should review last week's fifteen definitions for Vocabulary(Word Wall) test this Friday.
Since next week we will be celebrating Valentine's Day on Monday, I will be ordering pizza for the class and bringing in candy and treats for the class. Children should send in one dollar for one slice (or two dollars for two) and another dollar if they wish additional treats and snacks that I will be bringing in. Each child should bring in their own individual juice (no large bottles). There will also be a cake sale that day if children wish to purchase something there.
This week in Language Arts,I will be working on POWER PROOFREADING on the web sit www. eduplace.com/kids/hme to practice what the students have covered on verbs these two weeks. I suggest that students follow up with more practice at home. In Religion, I will be working on Unit 3 vocabulary on flip cards on web site www. sadlierreligion.com. Again I suggest students print out the cards and practice matching words and definitions.
I will be attending a Religion workshop this Thursday morning and will not be back until after lunch so I will be assigning classwork to be done in both third and fourth grades. Due to this and early dismissal this Friday, Religion test must be given next Monday (instead of this Friday).

2/10 Rel - Study Chapter 12 and notes in Rel. notebook for test next Mon.
Print out flip card definitions for Unit 3. Cut out and bring to class.
THIRD GRADE
2/8 LA - In LA notebook answer LA Workbook pp. 59 and 61.
2/10 Rel - Study Chapter 17 for test next Mon. Print out flip cards for Unit 3. Cut out and bring to class.
SECOND GRADE
2/8 LA - In LA notebook answer LA Workbook pp. 88 and 96.
2/10 Rel - Study Chapter 17 for test next Mon. Print out flip cards for Unit 3. Cut out and bring to class.
Voc. - Review all 15 definitions for test Friday.
