Dear Parents,
Due to Valentine Party for second grade on Monday and rescheduling that was necessary last week with third and fourth grades, the Religion Test will be given on Tuesday to all classes. Please have students review!
The vocabulary definitions for this week are in Religion:
*Eucharist - sacrament in which we receive the Body and Blood of Jesus. The word eucharist means giving thanks. The word also refers to the celebration of Mass.
*Liturgy of the Word - first main part of the Mass in which we listen to God's Word
*Liturgy of the Eucharist - second main part of the Mass in which the gifts of bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Jesus
*Blessed Sacrament - another name for the Eucharist
*tabernacle - special place in Church where the Blessed Sacrament is kept
