9/23 Aim: To explore directions and kinds of maps
Lesson: (pp.G8 to G11) Define compass rose, cardinal and intermediate
directions, locator, landform and grid map
Homework: In notebook write date and page number. Answer Workbook p. 2 questions in
notebook.

9/24 Aim: To compare and contrast communities
Lesson: (pp.6-9) Define community. Compare and contrast local community with that of
Sacramento, California.
Homework: In notebook write date and page. Answer Workbook p. 3 questions in notebook.

9/25 Aim: To examine how citizens in a community work together

another, solve problems, and have fun.

9/22 Aim: To define the kingdom of God
Lesson: (pp. 34-35) Discuss Jesus' teachings about the kingdom of God. Students give
examples of how we build up the kingdom.

Lesson: (pp. 36-37) Explain Jesus' parable of the mustard seed about faith.
Homework: Study pp. 32 to 35.

in our lives.
