Homework for 2nd, 3rd, 4th Grades 4/12-16

Dear Parents,
Welcome back! I hope you all had a nice Easter break. Now it is time for report cards!
Please be sure that your children bring back their notebooks to class and any other books they took home.
Report cards will be mailed home this week. Dismissal is at 12:00 this Thursday so that Parent-Teacher conferences can be held from 3:00 to 7:00 that afternoon. Parents who wish to come must bring the report card with them to the conference. Each parent must be limited to 10 minutes at this conference. If more time is needed, parent must sign to ask for another meeting
to be arranged by the office. April calendars were given out to students Mon., April 12; please read carefully. Dismissal is at 2:30 this Friday.
AN IMPORTANT CORRECTION: For those celebrating the sacrament of Reconciliation , the ceremony will be on Tuesday, April 27 at 1:30 (not on Thurs.) First Holy Communion will be on May 1st at 11:00.

Below are the Social Studies vocabulary definitions for this week:

industry -all the businesses that make one kind of goods or provide one kind of service
immigrant - a person who comes to a new country to live
abolition - ending or doing away with completely, for example as in the abolition of slavery
draft - a plan to select people to serve in the military
suffrage - the right to vote

SECOND GRADE HOMEWORK:
4/13- Rel - Study pp. 36 to 40. Answer all questions on those pages.
4/15 - SS - On looseleaf write full heading. Answer all questions on p. 211.
Voc - Test Friday on this week's vocabulary definitions listed in Vocabulary notebook.

THIRD GRADE HOMEWORK:
4/13 - Rel - Study pp. 56 to 64. Answer all questions on p. 64.
4/15 - SS - In notebook write Workbook p. 46. Answer all questions.

FOURTH GRADE HOMEWORK:
4/13 - Rel - Study pp. 34-36. Finish filling in I can.... list for each Beatitude. Memorize the
Beatitudes and what each means for test next week.
4/15 - SS - In notebook write Workbook p. 47. Answer all questions.
