Homework for 2nd, 3rd, & 4th for 2/27 to 3/2

Dear Parents,
          As the current picture shows, this Wed. is Hippie Day throughout the school.  All students are allowed to come dressed in appropriate clothes, beads ,ets. and some may be selected to join the school contest on that day.  Progress Reports will be distributed on Thursday.  Dismissal on Fri. is at 12:00.
           The weekly vocabulary definitions are posted on Ms. Bagley's blog. Please be sure to have students copy these in Vocabulary notebook as Monday's homework.  Please see below your child's grade for this week's homework.  ELA homework is based on the new core curriculum for Unit 4 which is based on historical themes that will be covered in class as well. 
FOURTH GRADE
ELA 2/28 Answer ELA Workbook p. 74 in ELA notebook.  Then  to answer the bottom section choose a historical figure from the American Revolution and on looseleaf write three FACTS and three OPINIONS about this person.  Information will be used for speeches next week.  Visitwww.library.thinkquest.org for ideas.  Click on people or actions!
Rel 3/1 On looseleaf write a heading.  Write a title  and one paragraph in script describing activities in which we are engaged during the season of Lent.
THIRD GRADE
ELA 2/28 Answer ELA Workbook p. 122 in ELA notebook.  Then choose one U.S. president and on looseleaf  write some interesting facts you have researched about him.  Circle one CAUSE and EFFECT example you found in your research.
Rel 3/1 On looseleaf write a heading. Write a title and one paragraph in script describing activities in which we are engaged during the season of Lent.
