Homework for 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Grades for 10/29 to 11/2

Dear Parents,
THIS IS YET ANOTHER  UPDATE AS OF WED. OCT.  31ST AFTERNOON!

The latest message is that SCHOOL WILL NOT RESUME TILL MON.  NOV. 5TH.             I  now prefer to wait till I receive any information about next week's activities.  So please check the blog on Saturday or Sunday.   The latest schoool message was that Halloween festivities have been cancelled for this year.  Hopefully, you were able to enjoy the day with your family.
Project based learning  on St. Francis of Assisi will probably continue this week.  Work will be reviewed in class before Friday.  This week is the last time students may be filmed for this present project on St. Francis of Assisi but there will be other such projects throughout the year.  A few students were already filmed this past Friday and hopefully some others may be filmed this week if they are prepared.  Students may choose two or three pictures related to their letter or prayer,  put these on construction paper, and bring them in on Monday. Students may also think of a brief personal experience related to the prayer they may wish to mention. ALL CLASSES SHOULD STUDY SAFE ENVIRONMENT NOTES THAT WILL BE COMPLETED THIS COMING WEEK .  ALSO PLEASE CONTINUE WORK LOOKING FOR PICTUES AND WRITING CAPTIONS FOR THESE FOR THE RELIGION FAIR WHICH IS ON NOV. 20TH.
I have copied over the instrucions for you to review:
Each student in 2nd, 3rd, & 4th received his/her individual research assignment. Each second grader chose a different saint from the Lives of Saints archive on www.sadlierreligion.com. Each third grader was assigned a sacrament and each fourth grader was assigned a commandment.Below is a list of what type of pictures each class should be searching for on google images.
SECOND: life image of saint, statue, stained-glass image, school or church named after saint, medal or object attributed to the saint, prayer or litany associated with saint, religious order saint started.
THIRD: different ways to celebrate the sacrament by Catholics, ways sacrament is celebrated in different religions, people required to be present, garments worn (ways to dress for the ceremony), symbols associated with sacrament, copy of words used during the ceremony, copy of the certificate, traditions associated with the sacrament (or changes that have occurred)
FOURTH: After reading the Chapter in Religion text book on the commandment selected for ideas, look for pictures of: scenes of people obeying and disobeying the commandment in a wide variety of ways, pictures of saints or others who lived that particular commandment exemplified in their work.
THESE PICURES SHOULD BE AT LEAST 6x6 inches and should be brought in a plastic bag for review--not placed on a display board YET!
