Homework for 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Grades for 6/8 to 6/12

Dear Parents,
As I started reviewing the printed out Study Guides for ELA on Monday, I realized that many children had not done any reviewing at all over the weekend . I say this because several did not even know the vocabulary definitions which I even wrote out for them to make it easier to study! Students should not rely on the fact that I review in class.  Students need to study at home as well. There will be a final ELA Quiz  this Thursday since there is no school on Friday. The vocabulary definitions students need to study for this quiz are listed in the Study Guide under Unit 6.  I have waited until now to give the quiz in order to complete Unit 6. A few students did not even give in their final ELA project which was due last Thursday!  I will be giving mini assessments during the week to check if students are STUDYING THEIR STUDY GUIDES in ELA. Students should be reviewing  the year's work in their notebook and practicing skills on ixl listed in the Grammar section.  Please remember that the ELA End Term Exam grade will appear on their report card as well as being counted into their average. I am not giving any other homework besides what is on the Study Guide so there is no reason to get a poor grade if students do what is assigned! The ELA Final Exam in next Wednesday.
Thank you for your attention and cooperation in this matter!
