Homework for 2nd, 3rd, & 4th for March 27 to 31

Dear Parents,
         Since third and fourth grade students will be taking the New York State ELA Exam this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, I will not be assigning any other homework except review work I posted this weekend. I am posting this again below since students will not be answering short responses and extended responses till Wed. and Thurs. Please check back on Thursday for additional homework!

FOURTH GRADE

3/27 Fourth graders should click on this link, scroll down to p. 18. Begin with story "Building the Longest, Tallest, Fastest Scream Machines" and continue to the end of exam.

3/30 This is a reminder that the I ready assignment in Close reading: Compare/Contrast is due NO LATER THAN MON.  Thus includes the Reading to Write section which I will be grading. One well written paragraph of 6-8 sentences is fine this time.

3/30 This is a reminder that the I ready assignment in Close reading: Compare/Contrast is due NO LATER THAN MON.  Thus includes the Reading to Write section which I will be grading. One well written paragraph of 5 to 6  sentences is fine this time.

SECOND GRADE

3/27 Second graders may also click on the third grade link to review.  Second graders are also reminded to study all of Chapter 9 for Social Studies quiz NEXT week. Students should also review the vocabulary and notes for Domain 11 on Immigration in their ELA notebooks.

3/30 Religion - Study Chapter 19 and the Ten Commandments for quiz next week.  Practice writing the Ten Commandments from memory!
3/30 SS- On loose leaf write a heading. Answer in complete sentences p. 215 Remembering What You Read # 1 to 5.
