Homework for April 30 to May 4 for Class 1-2

Dear Parents,
         Please remember to send in quizzes signed if you have not done so.   We are beginning a new module 5 in Math and a new unit in ELA this week after testing is completed.

Lesson Plan

Homework for April 30
Math - Study corrected Exit tickets 21 to 29 for End of Module Test tomorrow.  You should have reviewed workbook pages I assigned last week.
Phonics- Do pp. 205 and 206.  Follow directions.

Homework for May 1
 *No Math homework tonight!
Social Studies- Study textbook pp. 152 to 165  Be ready for an assessment on the following words:
Native Americans, explorers, Vikings, colonies, grid map, Pilgrims, independence, American Revolution, Declaration of Independence, president  On loose leaf write a full heading. Answer in complete sentences only questions 1, 2, 3, and 4 in Thinking About Ideas on p. 184. DO NOT COPY QUESTIONS!
Religion- Study pp. 190-191. Answer p. 192 and 194 (all 6 questions). Watch video on  the seven sacraments   Be ready for a brief assessment on the seven sacraments 

Homework for May 2
Math-  Do pp. 3 and 4 in new workbook.  Use the work done on pp. 1 and 2 for a guide.
Phonics - Read p. 211 and do p. 212. Follow directions!
Social Studies- Quiz is tomorrow.  Review well textbook pp, 152 to 165. Practice drawing a grid map.

Homework for May 3
Math- Do pp. 7 and 8.  Look at pp. 5-6 as a guide.
Phonics- Do pp. 213 and 214.
Religion - Quiz tomorrow.  Review Chapters 15 and especially 16.  Watch video on  the seven sacraments   


Homework for May 4
Math - Do pp. 11 and 12.  Follow directions on top of page.  Write the name of  four different objects for each.
Religion - In Reflections workbook do pp.  52-53. Follow directions in book.  Draw and color  picture showing priest (pouring water), baby, parents, godparents, baptismal font, candle. Write THREE or FOUR sentences about what is happening at BAPTISM (not something else).
***Work on MAP skills in ALL FOUR subjects areas!
*** Some students were given readings to practice for OUR class Mass next Thursday.  Don't lose the paper; keep in folder.
