Dear Parents,
There will be only three days of school this week since we are off Feb. 11, 12 , and 15. On Wed. we will be having Mass to celebrate Ash Wednesday, which is the beginning of the Lenten Church season. This year ashes will be distibuted in a different way to avoid direct contact. Students will be begin learning about our traditional Lenten practices this week and continue until Easter.
In ELA the Unit 2 Reading test will be given and then I will be presenting the new trade book for Unit 3 Module A. In Math we are starting Module 4 on place value which leads into learning about counting coins. In Social Studies we will review what we studied about Washington, Lincoln, and Martin Luther King Jr. and the quiz will be given on Tuesday.
Are you wondering about our National What??? Day for this week. There are two: National Pizza Day on Tuesday and National Umbrella Day on Wenesday!
During their days off, I suggest that students work on Edgenuity for about 20 minutes periods just to keep their minds sharp. As always, homework assignments will be posted on google classroom daily. Enjoy the time off and keep warm in the cold spell ahead.
