Homework for 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Grades for 4/13 to 4/17

Dear Parents,
         Welcome back!  I hope you all had a nice Easter vacation!  I need ALL students to bring their completed homework assignments in this Monday so we can review them before the ELA State Test which students in 3rd and 4th will be taking on 5/14 through 5/16. Students should also bring in any notebooks taken home for study.  Third grade will also be preparing and practicing this week  for First Holy Communion which will be celebrated on Sunday, April 19th at 1:00.  This Friday dismissal will be at 12:00 and next Friday as well. Report cards will be distributed on April 24th and parent-teacher conferences will be held from 2:00 to 7:00 that day.
          I am not assigning any homework for Tuesday so students can cannot to review for the test but there will be a Religion assignment due on Friday.

FOURTH
Rel - Use blank sheets  NOT POSTER BOARD (one for each commandment)  to create posters for each of the Ten Commandments you were assigned (see below).  On each sheet you must make up a catchy slogan to get people to obey that commandment. Then write the actual commandment under that. Then write  THREE questions that help you focus on obeying that commandment and include one picture related to each commandment (either self-made or printed).
If your initials are JA, SB, IC, VC, CG, EV  work on commandments 1, 2, 3, 4.
If your initials are AG, AJ, CK, EM work on commandment  5. 6. 7.
If your initials are VM, JR, BR, KU work on commandments  8, 9, 10
***Research each commandment in the textbook for information.  Use markers or colored pencils and make your sheets attractive and interesting.  This will count as a project!  IT IS DUE THIS WEDNESDAY!
ELA 4/14 - AS AN EXTRA REVIEW FOR THE WRITTEN PART OF THE ELA STATE TEST TOMORROW, STUDENTS SHOULD REVIEW THE STUDENT SAMPLES THAT SCORED 4 ON THE 2013 TEST WHICH WE REVIEWED IN CLASS FOR BOTH THE 3RD AND 4TH GRADE. Study also the sheets of notes in notebook on reviewing for the Archdiocesan test.
Daily assessments but no quiz wil be given next weeek due to state tests.

THIRD
ELA 4/14- AS AN EXTRA REVIEW FOR THE WRITTEN PART OF THE ELA STATE TEST TOMORROW, STUDENTS SHOULD REVIEW THE STUDENT SAMPLES THAT SCORED 4 ON THE 2013 TEST WHICH WE REVIEWED IN CLASS FOR BOTH THE 3RD AND 4TH GRADE. Rel 4/16- Study Chapters 17 and 18 in text book as well as sheet of notes stapled in Religion notebook on the parts of the Mass.  You will be assessed on knowing the parts of the Mass in correct sequence as well as the Mass responses which we will be reviewing in class as well.
Daily assessments but no quiz wil be given next weeek due to state tests.

SECOND

If your LAST NAME begins with L, M, or N work on commandments 4, 5 and 6.
If your LAST NAME begins with O, P, R,  or S work on commandments 7, 8, and 9.
If your LAST NAME begins with T, U, or V work on commandments 8, 9, and 10.
