Homework for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th for Sept. 14 to 18 Please read updated bold print area

Dear Parents,
Welcome to a new school year!  This is an important reminder that several third grade students did not bring in their TWO reams of blank paper (each set must have 500 sheets) needed for copies this year.  Mr. Woods has requested that two sets from each child be sent to the office otherwise copies cannot be made!  Some students have sent only one set. Please send in the required amount by this Friday if you have not done so.  All parent sign in sheets and two emergency cards are due by this Friday, Sept. 18th as well.  Remember dismissal is at 12:00 this Friday!
Please make sure that all students in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th have  three SHARPENED pencils and  several blank looseleaf papers in their homework folder EVERY DAY to be used in class.  All students should have ALL  their books  and two notebooks (one for Religion and the other for ELA) for class every day starting on Monday.
Please check the blog every week on TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS for weekly vocabulary words and homework assignments. On Monday I will explain how these should be copied into their correct notebook for study. Please WAIT until Tuesday after class to copy the following.
On Monday, Sept. 28th the second, third, and fourth grades will be have a field day trip to the park near Good Shepherd school.  Mr. Woods has requested that every teacher bring three parents to help watch the children.  Please send me a note if  you are free and would be able to come with us.  You cannot bring any other children with you.  Also any child that wishes to go on the trip MUST bring in the permission slip that was given out at the opening meeting (or sent home with your child when he arrived).  Please sign the slip titled "Field Trip Permission Request" and send it in as possible or your child will NOT be allowed to attend the trip. Please remember also that all signed forms and TWO filled in emergency cards are due by this Friday. As of now, I have received only 17 out of 23 set of signed sheets.  They must all come in stapled or clipped together no later than this Friday!
