Dear Parents,
Last week I sent home all ELA and Religion quizzes from Sept. to present in a one plastic folder. It is important that students review all corrections thoroughly including the writing sections for Mid-term exams. Since the third and fourth grades will be taking the Archdiocesan Exam, I will also be sending home notes for each grade to review as well. Please remember that this year there is an additional curriculum added to the Religion program which makes it much more extensive. I will not be assigning written homework this week so that students have time to review well. I WILL be giving daily assessments based on similar quiz questions and the Religion notes to make sure students are studying! The ELA Mid -term is scheduled for Jan. 18th and Religion Mid-term for Jan. 19th.
Progress Reports sent home on Friday must be signed and returned to their home room teacher by Monday. Please remember that dismissal on Monday is at 12:00. Last week's ELA quiz has been rescheduled for this Wednesday as well. Please make sure students review the assigned pages below well!
FOURTH GRADE
1/10 ELA Quiz on Wednesday. In Grammar Workshop study p. 180 on relative pronouns. On IXL review W1, W2, and W3. Also review Grammar Workshop pp. 194, 198, 206, 226, 234, 235. 1/10 ELA Quiz on Wednesday. Study following vocabulary definitions: albumen, yolk, embryo, fertilize, burrow, metamorphosis, gills, lungs, amphibian. In Progress Book study p. 192 and 193 on reflexive pronouns.On IXL also review S1 and S2. Study model paragraph on the life cycle of a frog using time order words.
