Homework for Oct. 16 to 19

Dear Parents,
This is just a reminder about the quizzes scheduled for this week.  On Tues. students will take the Writing Test based on Stellaluna and on Wed. there will be a Math Mid Module Assessment based on Lesson 11 to 24.On Tuesday all exit tickets will be sent home for review.  PROGRESS REPORTS WILL BE SENT HOME ON THURSDAY!  THESE WILL NEED TO BE SIGNED AND RETURNED  ON FRIDAY.  AFTER CHECKING THE SIGNATURE, THEY WILL BE RETURNED TO YOU. On Fri. expect a Religion Quiz on Chapter 3.
For the Writing Test, students will need to write two complete sentences-- each one describing an event from Stellaluna.  I will provide a word bank with words they can use and then ask them to draw a picture about each event and write a sentence for each picture describing each event. The first will be about how Stellaluna and the birds met and the second will be about Stellaluna showed friendship  to the birds.  You can still reread Stellaluna on line on www.pearsonrealize.com
If possible, please have you child bring the seed sample they were assigned since we have Science Lab on Tuesday. If they don't remember which one they were assigned, have them bring in any seed sample they can.  Students should also bring in their bean seed sample on the wet paper towel if it has sprouted.

Lesson Plan

***I checked the freckles program Monday night and noticed that several students have NOT practiced anything at all.  I remind you that it is necessary that EVERY STUDENT do some practice work in the freckle program --both for Math and ELA.  This on-line practice is very important in preparing your children for upcoming MAP testing!!!
