Homework for Oct. 9 to 12

Dear Parents,
We have two events this week. On Thursday at 10:30 first grade will attend a Fire Prevention Presentation by one of our former students--now a fireman.  On Friday there will be a Hispanic Music Presentation  at which our first graders will sing and to which parents are invited.  There will be a Religion Quiz on Chapter 2 on Wed. Also on Wed. I will begin calling  on students to read one of the leveled readers in class and answer questions so make certain you have read ALL five books.
Please remember to have your child bring in their Test Folder on Tuesday with all quizzes inside signed. They will be kept on file.
This week I will give students their class code for www.student.freckle.com so they may begin practicing Math and ELA skills on line.  I suggest doing Number Facts  area in Math and the Decodables and Sight Words areas in ELA to begin.  Please allow your child to work on these INDEPENDENTLY so child can work confidently at his level and we can monitor his/her progress.
