SOCIAL STUDIES

2/9 Aim: To proofread DBQ essay
Lesson: Students redo essay from draft.
Homework: In notebook write date and page. Answer p. 134 in text: Vocabulary and
Building Skills sections only.

2/10 Aim: To review chapter
Lesson: Students study notes to prepare for test.
Homework: Study notes on Chapter 5 and pp. 112 to 133 for test Wed.

2/11 Social Studies Test (Chapter 5)
Homework: Each student will need to make ten copies of the blank paragraph outline sheet to use for future homework assignments. On this copy fill in American
Revolution on subject line; causes on main idea line above it; battles on
main idea line to the left; outcomes on main idea line to the right. Then
fill in the rest of the empty ovals by looking up information in the text.

2/12 Aim: To introduce writing of the NY Constitution
Lesson: Explain the importance of the Constitution. pp. 142-143
Homework: In notebook write date and page. Write the definition for each word
on p. 142 in text.

2/13 Aim: To introduce freedoms mentioned in the Constitution
Lesson: Explain formationof the national government. pp. 144-145

Lesson: Students liste to Bible stories of Elijah and Jesus in the desert.
