SOCIAL STUDIES

2/23 Aim: To examine three documents
Lesson: Students compare and contrast Declaration of Independence, the Constitution,
and the Bill of Rights. p.163
Homework: In notebook write date and page. Answer Workbook p.36.

2/24 Aim: To examine contributions of Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson
Lesson: Students compare and contrast these two men. p. 161.
Homework: Study notes on answers to questions on pp. 161-163

2/25 CLASS PERIOD IS 11:15 to 12:oo
Aim: To review chapter
Lesson: Students copy notes on the contributions of George Wasington and Benjamin
Franklin to study for the test.
Homework: Study Chpter 6 and notes in notebook for test Thursday.

2/26 CLASS PERIOD IS 11:15 TO 12:00
Social Studies Test (Chapter 6)
Homework: In notebook write definitions for words on p. 166

2/27 TEACHER ATTENDS WORKSHOP 9:00 - 11:00 CLASS PERIOD IS 11:15 to 12:00
Lesson: Students take turns using the smartboard to demonstrate one of the
questions they prepared for homework as followup to previous smartboard lesson.

RELIGION

2/23 Aim: To study the parables of Jesus
Lesson: Read aloud and discuss the parables.
Homework: On looseleaf write a heading. Write a title. Then write six sentences
on one of the parables.

2/24 Aim: To review the parables of Jesus
Lesson: Students copy a short summary of each of the parables.
Homewwork: Study notes on the three parables.

2/25 Aim: To introduce Lent
Lesson: Explain the meaning of Lent and its symbols. pp. 231-233
Homework: Answer p. 234 in text book.

2/26 Aim: To present the sacraments we renew during Lemt
Lesson: Explain why these sacramnts are important. pp. 233-34
Homework: Study notes on the above.

2/27 Aim: To present the three Holy Days
Lesson: Explain why we celebrate these three days. pp. 238-39
