Please remember to return all Progress Reports to their homeroom teacher after you have signed them. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT MR. WOODS SAID THAT THERE WILL BE A FULL DAY OF SCHOOL THIS FRIDAY SO DISMISSAL IS AT 3:00! Some lessons from last week had to be rescheduled due to adjustments for Hispanic Heritage Day. In Religion classes this week we will be covering the Safe Environment Curriculum. The next ELA quiz is scheduled for either this Friday (or next Monday if necessary). Please see below for this Tuesday's homework and check back for Thursday's homework.

10/18 On looseleaf write a full heading. In Grammar Workshop study top of p.28. Then answer p. 29 A #4 to 10 and B # 1 to 10.

10/20 For ELA Quiz on Friday, study the following vocabulary: character motivation, access, physical environment, rural, mobile library, obstacles, e-book, download, digital age, program.
In Grammar Workshop study p. 32 (complex sentences with subordinating conjunctions). In Phonics study pp. 15 and 20 (consonant sounds). Study the sections on Peru and on Kenya in My Librarian Is a Camel.
SECOND GRADE
10/18 In Voyages, study how to write a story with a beginning, middle, and end on pp. 30,31, 32. On looseleaf write a full heading. Answer pp. 30 and 32 by just writing the correct letters. Then copy the title and beginning, write THREE sentences of your own for the middle, and copy the ending. Be sure to do it in paragraph form.
10/20 For ELA Quiz on Friday, study the following vocabulary: glimpse, sanctuary, securely, spectators, tending,amusing, foresight, hindsight, ridiculous, terrifying, mortal, immortal.
In Phonics, study pp. 10 and 12 (consonant sounds). Study notes about Greek myths in notebook.
