third grade lesson planDear Parents,
This week we are beginning the Church season of Lent so we will have Mass this Ash Wednesday at 10:30. We are celebrating Hippie Day on Tuesday so children may dress up for this event. We will be celebrating Dr. Seuss' Day on Thursday and students may also dress up as characters from this author's  books on that day.    Progress Reports will be given out this Friday.  These must be signed and returned next Monday.  SINCE THE FOURTH GRADE WAS SPLIT UP DUE TO TEACHER'S ABSENCE, I WILL NEED TO GIVE THEM THE ELA QUIZ ON MONDAY.  SECOND GRADE WILL BE TAKING THE DOMAIN 2 TEST ON MONDAY.

Please see below for this week's homework:

3/1 Recent quizzes in ELA and Religion are being sent home today (two in each subject).  Please review them well, especially the writing section. Some students are failing to answer ALL parts of the question, or not reading and following directions correctly. I explained to them how extremely important this is! Please return all quizzes signed by Monday.
3/1 In Grammar Workshop study how to write a friendly letter and a business letter on p.216. Then on looseleaf write a full heading.  Read the directions on the top of p. 219 and choose to write either a friendly letter or a business letter including all five letter parts as shown.  The body of the letter must have 5 or 6 sentences. Be sure to follow the models on p. 216 (not 218-it has errors). If you choose a friendly letter the heading just only be the date.
