We will have services in the auditorium instead of church. This Friday dismissal will be at 12:00. Once again schedules had to be adjusted due to MAP testing which will still continue into next week. Homework for 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Grades for May 22 to 26
Dear Parents,
This Monday and Friday dismissal is at 12:00. On Ascension Thursday this week services will be held in the auditorium. Progress reports will be sent home on Friday and must be signed and returned. Please remember to sign all quizzes sent home last week and send them back altogether no later than this Thursday. 5/23 One more quiz will be sent home today. Please sign and return it along with the others sent last week no later than Thursday. Please return ALL quizzes together. On Achieve 3000 answer the thought question for "Women Who Led the Way." Be sure to write at least 6-8 sentences including an introduction and a conclusion. Continue to read The Hope Chest up to Chapter 10 and take brief notes on each chapter for your own reference.

You can copy image and print each one. Study articles for an upcoming assessment. Also each student is to bring in 2 or 3 nutrition labels that we can study in class.
***Anyone who did not finish their work on loose leaf from in Voyages pp. 99, 55, 57, 161, 162 from classwork assigned for last Friday must have it completed by tomorrow. Use the front and back of the loose leaf and list page number for each.
**The entire Domain 10 Test was stapled together and sent home. I am asking parents to review, sign, and return this along with all other quizzes by tomorrow, Thursday. Also please choose 3 or 4 different nutrition labels and glued them on one sheet of construction paper with child's name.

Dear Parents,
No state testing this week, except for make-ups for those who were absent! Fourth graders will be required to respond to questions from chapters 3 to 8 in The Hope Chest so please and I suggest making notes for your own reference on each chapter so you don't confuse what is in each one. Third graders will be reading a set of articles in class on water conservation and responding to questions on these. Second graders will be doing a two day assessment on the human body and proper nutrition based on Domain 10 and writing a two-paragraph essay on ways to maintain good health. We will also be studying reading nutrition labels as a mini project for the end of the year. There will be an ELA quiz for third and fourth graders based on the vocabulary and work covered this week for all three classes which I plan to give either Thurs. or Fri. Please continue to review all Religion terms on the links I sent previously for the next quiz. Second graders should review the vocabulary terms in the glossary for now.
ON THURSDAY I WILL BE SENDING HOME RECENT CORRECTED QUIZZES. PLEASE SEND THEM BACK SIGNED BY MONDAY.

Homework for 2nd, 3rd, & 4th grades for 5/1 to 5/5
Dear Parents,
Third and fourth graders are taking the Math State Test this week and second graders will be taking the ITBS Test. Each test willl last three days: Tues. through Thurs. starting at 9:00 each day. The schedule for ITBS is as follows: Vocabulary and Phonics on Tues. Reading on Wed. Spelling, Capitalization, Punctuation, and Written Expression as well as Math on Thurs. The ELA quiz is postponed until next Monday. All those assigned the action plan in Math or ELA on their report cards must continue their four assigned lessons each week. They are being checked and grades recorded to be sent to Mr. Woods.

5/4 ELA Quiz that was cancelled this week due to testing will be given next Mon., May 8. Review all vocabulary in ELA notebook for 4/24, 4/26, and 4/28 which is from nutrients to tissue. Be sure to be able to explain what "keep your fingers crossed" or "seeing is believing" means.

Third and fourth graders are taking the Math State Test this week and second graders will be taking the ITBS Test. Each test willl last three days: Tues. through Thurs. starting at 9:00 each day. The schedule for ITBS is as follows: Vocabulary and Phonics on Tues. Reading on Wed. Spelling, Capitalization, Punctuation, and Written Expression as well as Math on Thurs. The ELA quiz is postponed until next Monday. All those assigned the action plan in Math or ELA on their report cards must continue their four assigned lessons each week. They are being checked and grades recorded to be sent to Mr. Woods.
FOURTH
