Dear Parents,
Please remember to bring in your Progress Report signed. This Wed. we will having our May Procession at 9:00. All students MUST bring their rosary beads. We will have services in the auditorium instead of church. This Friday dismissal will be at 12:00. Once again schedules had to be adjusted due to MAP testing which will still continue into next week. A REMINDER THAT RELIGION ARCHDIOCESAN EXAM FOR THIRD AND FOURTH GRADES IS SCHEDULED FOR NEXT TUESDAY, JUNE 6th. SECOND GRADE WILL ALSO TAKE THEIR RELIGION EXAM THAT SAME DAY!

6/1 ELA Quiz Fri. Study all vocabulary for Chapters 4, 5, 6.
Continue reading The Hope Chest chapters 7 to 12 and make summary notes for each chapter.
****I will be returning all Religion quizzes so that students can review for the Archdiocesan Exam next Tuesday! Last quiz indicates that some students are still confusing the Corporal and Spiritual Works or are making careless errors!

6/1 ELA Quiz Fri. Study underlined vocabulary words on set of stapled sheets on articles. ****I will be returning all Religion quizzes so that students can review for the Archdiocesan Exam next Tuesday!

5/30 Social Studies Quiz on Wed. Study all ten vocabulary terms for Chapters 10 (see p. 244). Be able to give some facts about New York in the past.
Social Studies Quiz on Thurs. Study all ten vocabulary terms for Chapter 11 (see p. 264). Be able to explain what happened to San Francisco after the gold rush.
6/1 Social Studies- On loose leaf write a heading. Answer questions p. 287 A, B, C. LOOK UP ANSWERS ! This is due Friday. Students need to complete the Map of the Month that will be distributed this week no later than June 12th.
Corrected Social Studies quizzes will be sent home Friday to be signed.
PLEASE REMEMBER SECOND GRADE WILL BE TAKING THEIR RELIGION FINAL EXAM ON JUNE 6TH. Students should review the definitions of the following words which can be found in the glossary in the back of their Religion book: absolution, apostles, Baptism, Blessed Trinity, Church, commandments, conscience, contrition, divine, Eucharist, faith, free will, grace, Holy Family, original sin, pastor, penance, pope, Reconciliation, Resurrection, sacrament, sin, venial sin, worship.
*Students should also know the Ten Commandments and ways to follow each. (See text pp. 112 and 115.) There will be an assessment on the Ten Commandments tomorrow (Friday).
