Dear Parents,
This week teachers will be attending meetings and be out for certain periods during the week. I will be leaving at 11:00 on Tuesday so I will be assigning work in grammar they should finish in class. On Friday there will be Stations of the Cross and dismissal at 12:00 from church. Please see below for this week's homework.
FOURTH GRADE
ELA 3/3 Practice the first 30 questions: CC2 (prepositions) and OO1 (shades of meaning)on www.ixl.com. In case of several errors, slow down, read the corrections carefully, and do up to 10 more.
Study following vocabulary definitions:
preposition-word that joins a noun or pronoun to form a phrase
meter - rhythm in poetry when it follows a certain pattern
rhyme scheme - pattern of rhyming words at the end of lines in a stanza of poetry
nymph - young form of an insect that does not change much as it grows
brood - family group
emerge - come out

ELA 3/5 On looseleaf write a heading. Review what you studied about the creative or inventive person you were assigned to research. Write EIGHT MOST IMOPORTANT interesting facts about this person including their information on their birth, death, and works or contribution to the world.
