There is no school this Friday, May 27 and next Monday, May 30th. The Religion Archdiocesan Exam is being given to third and fourth grades on June 2nd and posibly second grade as well. I will be sending home past quizzes this week so students can begin to review the types of questions that most likely will appear on the exams. I received an e-mailed study guide only for fourth grade on specific areas to review which I will post below. Please be sure to review well all of these quizzes as well as the Study Guide I posted for all classes. There will be an ELA quiz for all classes this Wed. focusing on vocabulary and writing skills. Please see below for a more details.
FOURTH GRADE
5/24 ELA Quiz on Wed. Study following vocabulary definitions listed in the notebook: foreign, cranky, involuntary, indifferent, jolted, unperturbed, elaborate, calloused, menacingly, unconcerned, campaigning, unsuited, oppressive, ride the rods, hop the freights. Be able to summarize Chapter 1 to 6 of The Hope Chest. Read Chapter 9 of The Hope Chest.

Format of the Fourth Grade Archdiocesan Exam: The assessment will include multiple
choice questions, matching questions, and a choice of one short response question. The
response question will require the student to connect the content learned in religion
class to lived experience.
