This week the second grade will be taking the ITBS Test on Tuesday through Friday. On Wednesday we are having a Star Wars contest at 10:00. On Thursday we have Ascension Thursday Mass at 9:00 followed by Honors Assembly (based on the last report card). On Friday we have the Science Fair. Needless to say there will again be changes in scheduling. Some lesson plans from last week had to be rescheduled due to the testing last week. There will an ELA Quiz for all classes on Friday. This quiz will cover vocabulary (listed in notebooks) and writing assignments based on their readings for Module 4 or Domain 11. Religion Quizzes will be based on questions from previous Archdiosean Exams in order to start preparing students for their final in early June.
FOURTH GRADE

ELA 5/3 Read Chapter 5 in The Hope Chest. Practice summarizing it. Look for figurative language. Make sure you have read Chapter 4 as well!
REL 5/3 Study Chapters 19 and 20 on the eighth and ninth commandment. Also STUDY THE SHEET STAPLED IN NOTEBOOK TITLED REVIEW FOR ARCHDIOCESAN EXAM. Quiz and daily assessments will be based on these notes. Next week we will be working on answering essay questions. There are sheets of these essay questions in your Religion notebook!
